Ingredients
- Pork butt (money muscle section)
- 2 cups Uncle Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Japanese pear, peeled and puréed
Method
- Semi-freeze the pork butt for 45–60 minutes until firm.
- Separate the money muscle and slice into ¼-inch pork steaks.
- Mix the marinade ingredients and coat the pork completely.
- Marinate overnight.
- Grill over medium-high heat for 3–5 minutes per side, brushing with additional marinade throughout the cook until beautifully caramelized.
- You want to cook the pork til 195-205 degrees.
- Rest for 5 minutes and serve with rice, mac salad, or your favorite sides.
Notes
You can marinate these pork steaks overnight or for at least an hour. Brush on Uncle Yoshida's during the cook for extra flavor.
